Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 May 2026
This policy explains how Calctivo handles personal data when you visit the website and use our calculators. We aim to be clear about what happens — and what does not — with your information.
Who is responsible
Calctivo (the website calctivo.com) is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions, contact us at the email below.
What we do not do with your calculations
When you use our calculators, most calculations run in your browser. Data you enter (for example salary, loan amounts, or health figures) is normally not sent to us to be stored or recalculated on our servers. That is an intentional part of how we build the tools.
Data we may process
We may process limited data to operate and improve the website, for example:
- Technical logs from hosting (e.g. IP address, browser type, time, and page requested) — for security and troubleshooting.
- Preferences in your browser, such as language choice, via local storage on your device.
- Information you send us by email if you contact us (e.g. your name and message content).
Legal basis under the GDPR
For visitors in the EU/EEA we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — to run, protect, and improve the website (e.g. logs and security).
- Consent — if we later use non-essential cookies or similar technology that requires consent under ePrivacy/GDPR.
- Contract or pre-contract steps — when you contact us and we need to handle your request.
Cookies and similar technologies
We primarily use technology needed for the site to work. More detail is in our cookie policy. If we introduce third-party advertising or analytics, we will update this policy and explain how you can manage choices.
Service providers
The website may be hosted in the EU/EEA or in a country with an adequacy decision. If we use services outside the EU/EEA we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
Retention
Server logs are usually kept for a limited period that is reasonable for security and operations, then deleted or anonymised. Email you send us is kept as long as needed to handle your request and to meet legal or accounting requirements if they apply.
Your rights
If we process personal data about you, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where applicable. You may withdraw consent when processing is based on consent. Contact us and we will help.
Complaints to a supervisory authority
You may lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), or with your local data protection authority in the EU/EEA, if you believe we process your data unlawfully.
Children
Calctivo is aimed at a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the website evolves (e.g. new features or advertising). The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we aim to make the update clear on the site.
