Required Salary: Net Pay to Cover Your Budget
Work out net monthly salary needed to fund your lifestyle lines plus a safety buffer. Enter Desired housing, Food, Transport, Bills, Savings goal, and Other expenses. The page shows Net salary (target take-home), Total monthly need (sum of the six lines), and Recommended buffer (15% on top of that sum). Output is net, not gross.
How to use
Add the six categories. The tool multiplies that subtotal by 15% for the buffer, then adds both to get required net salary. If you already know net pay from a job offer, compare it directly to the blue Net salary figure. To translate to gross, use the salary calculator tax slider or your payslip.
Example
Housing 12,000, food 5,000, transport 2,000, bills 3,000, savings goal 4,000, other 3,000 sums to 29,000 monthly need. Buffer 4,350 brings required net salary to about 33,350. Cutting savings goal to 2,000 drops the target by 2,300 before buffer.
